Clinical ExperienceI have been working within mental health for close to two decades and have experience in higher education, NHS, and the voluntary sector settings. My clinical work has included forensic and learning disability settings, as well as adult mental health and palliative care, working with frontline staff and within direct patient care.
My clinical experience spans working with a wide range of difficulties including: personal complications, relational challenges, work concerns, anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, domestic violence, eating difficulties, body image concerns, OCD, personality difficulties, grief/loss, self-harm, critical incident support, and many others. Often, individual difficulties are accompanied by the challenges of daily life, which make each person’s experience different and their therapeutic needs unique. I work within an evidence based therapeutic framework to understand and support the individual as a whole. My work and experience within leadership teams also inform a discerning perspective on the pressures and demands of working within institutions. |
Background & QualificationsI have completed extensive postgraduate training in psychotherapy and a doctorate in counselling psychology, and regularly engage in further training to ensure up to date and best practice. My core trainings and qualifications are listed below, excluding ongoing regular therapeutic training for professional development.
I offer therapy in English and Turkish as needed. Trainings and Qualifications
